On the 6th of October London will be taken over by a hoard of ravenous zombies! But don’t worry, they’re friendly really, and they’re raising money for homelessness.

World Zombie Day will be returning to London just before Halloween, for zombie enthusiasts to dress up and shamble around the streets of London, and it’s all for a good cause. This year, the charity of choice is Shelter from the Storm, who run a free night shelter for homeless and vulnerable people, no matter who they are, every day of the year. So why not help fundraise with them, by donning your grossest, most decaying costumes and makeup, donating to this wonderful cause, and rambling around looking for brains?

At Joke we’re offering 10% off and a 10% donation to Shelter from the Storm for every zombie purchase made before the 7th of October. Use code ZOMBIE10.

Need some inspiration? Well, we’ve been exceptionally kind and have rounded up some of our favourite zombie costumes, to make sure you’re living your best undead life.

Last year’s event saw some hideously brilliant outfits, including this one, of a zombie Rick from Rick and Morty, a pyjamaed zombie (with random Shaun the Sheep bag) and our Complete Zombie costume, which comes in standard or plus size, and includes everything you need to go full undead.

The Lady Zombie Convict and the Zombie Prisoner are a great way to get involved in World Zombie Day, and even give you the option of a zombie couple’s costume – how romantic!

We all know that sitting through certain lessons in school made us feel like zombies, and now you can really have the Zombie Schoolgirl or Zombie School Boy experience!

Poor Zombie Nurse. She must have been minding her own business, trying to help a patient, when she was bitten and joined the undead army roaming London’s streets.

World Zombie Day isn’t just for adults, kids are more than welcome to join in the fun too! The Kid’s Zombie Schoolgirl and Kid’s Punk Zombie mean everyone in the family can become a disgusting reanimated corpse!

If you’re looking for something a little different, why not mix it up and become an undead clown, like this very forlorn looking zombie in the Scary Clown costume?

Even better, zombify a beloved childhood character, like Where’s Wally and Where’s Wally Wenda and horrify adults and children alike.

No zombie look would be complete without zombie makeup, and lucky for you, Tinsley have a range for just this situation. Create the whole look with the Zombie Torn Throat, Zombie Jawbone, Zombie Nose, Zombie Bite and Zombie Lips to make you an undeniable member of the undead. For the perfect finishing touches, add some fake blood, and some Snazaroo Face Paint.

If you’re still not sure you’ve found the perfect London Halloween Idea for you and your family to enjoy, take a look at some of our favourite costumes from last year, complete with amazing costumes, and some potentially not so amazing acting.
